"Remindful of a late Townes Van Zandt, Murray's gothic take on the genre is simple, yet brain-rattling; relatable, yet completely detached from reality. His music is a giant contradiction that exudes authenticity...a man no blues fan can afford to miss."

Nick Murray is a folk-blues musician from Sydney. He was a headline act as part of the RAW Sydney event “Grandeur” at Manning Bar in 2015, performed in the 'Feeling the Street' competition, as well as at well-known Sydney venues Brighton Up Bar, The Soda Factory, The Gasoline Pony, LazyBones and The Brass Monkey. He has been a mainstay in the Sydney busking scene, regularly performing at Hyde Park and surrounding areas. His striking appearance and rapport with the audience make for a memorable musical experience. Following on from a 2015 demo release, Nick Murray teamed up with local Sydney producer, Michael Wheatley (Nut ‘n’ Butter Studios) to release his debut EP, “Blue Fruits”. “Blue Fruits”, mastered by Grammy award winner William Bowden (King Willy Records), has received favourable reviews in national music publications and enjoyed widespread airplay. On the back of releasing “Blue Fruits”, Murray embarked on a Regional NSW Tour in late 2016 which saw him play at East Coast venues 5 Church St and The Front Gallery. Nick Murray released “The Van Sessions” in January 2017, a live album of songs recorded during his tour of Regional NSW. Murray spent much of 2017 honing his craft and in March 2018, he released his single “Hell You Made” before setting off on an Australian national tour starting in Melbourne.
